| Wildcard Productions was formed in 2002 by Melanie Holt and Linden Goh to produce the Australian premiere of Rebecca Gilman’s THE GLORY OF LIVING, directed by Lyn Wallis. A controversial production that divided audiences, this production stamped Wildcard’s intention to bring to Sydney some of the most exciting new writing from abroad. Wildcard followed up this production with a sweaty and visceral production of David Mamet’s contemporary classic OLEANNA. In 2004, Wildcard have teamed with Splinter Theatre Company to produce the Sydney premiere of the highly acclaimed BLACK MILK by one of Europe's hottest playwrights of the moment, Vassily Sigarev. Black Milk is part of Company B Belvoir's prestigious B Sharp season and was originally produced by London's Royal Court. At Wildcard our intention is simple. To produce theatre that is timely, entertaining and visceral. To bring to audiences new works from abroad that slip between the programming of the major theatre companies. To put bums on seats, and then move them to the edge of their seats. WHO WE ARE Wildcard Productions is Melanie Holt and Linden Goh. Melanie is an actor and producer. She has starred in "The Glory of Living", "Oleanna" and the upcoming "Black Milk" for Wildcard, "The Merry Wives of Windsor" for Shakespeare in the Park, and the "24 Hour Play Project" for B Sharp at Belvoir St. Her other credits include lead roles in the independent feature films "6000 Miles From Hollywood" and "Eloise", and numerous short films and television shows. For more information, visit Melanie's website. LInden is an actor, director and producer. He has worked for directors such as Francis Ford Coppola and Alex Proyas; has directed award-winning short films and TV commercials for international agencies; and has developed programs for SBS, ABC and the Discovery Channel. He previously worked for Company B Belvoir as Artistic Director of the Sydney Asian Theatre Festival and Open House, and also programmed both the Downstairs and Upstairs Theatres.
